Whenever I think of my journey and the first two weeks of the Amal fellowship I only can feel resemblance with something that passes through a lot of struggles to achieve something great. One thing that came into my mind always is anything that can fly high…So I choose butterflies to explain my journey with Amal so far.

The life cycle of Butterfly consists of 4 stages. The egg has to pass through these stages to be transformed into a beautiful creature on earth which is a butterfly.

So, I will explain my first two weeks in the Amal Fellowship with the example of butterfly life stages. I always wanted to develop some of the soft skills in me and to groom my personality but maybe I strongly needed a push or an Institute just like Amal who would motivate me to come out of my comfort zone and the protective shell that I have made around myself and to explore the real strengths of mine.

In initial sessions I was quite confused about how I would be able to develop those skills in me and to manage everything. But when I have taken some of the weekend sessions and pushed myself to speak up and to participate in the activities my perceptions changed from 360 degrees I have never seen such supportive and welcoming facilitators in my life who genuinely wanted you to learn and grow and to develop some amazing soft skills in you.

Respected PM and PA

When I started participating in the sessions actively I felt change in myself. And one day I received a very sweet voice note from my Program Manager that message was so much uplifting for me that I never looked back and continued working on myself.

I discovered a lot of great things through this journey. I never believed that I can even lead a team or a group of people but I came to know about this ability when I volunteered myself to take the lead of various groups that were either learning groups or mega project Circle. Leadership has taught me a lot of things about how to communicate effectively? and how to manage people from different backgrounds? and how to understand their psychology in a good manner? and also how to work in a team? I have got exposure to a lot of different people. And I have learnt a lot of things from this experience of mine.

The journey of mine with Amal isn’t linear at all. There were times when I was confused about how to manage tasks but I never gave up and tried to incorporate everything that I have learnt in the online sessions and in the in-person sessions in my day to day life work.

Just like butterflies that have to pass through hell of experiences to reach perfection. So is the case with me. I have volunteered myself for so many tasks just to develop some skills in me and to make myself more confident and here I am in the very last week of the fellowship quite confident and a positive person throughout who sees positivity in every situation.

Who has regained belief in her dreams and is hopeful that one day all of her dreams will come true with continuous efforts. The one who has never believed in herself now has a firm believe that whatever I believe in is possible through continuous efforts. All of these things become possible due to this super amazing career-prep fellowship by AMAL

As it is rightly said;

The best view comes after the hardest climb!
